In this video I'm going to share with you how to share a single tab in a Google Sheet with someone else. So one of the things you may be doing if you are trying to share a single tab is go up to the top right and click share . But this copy link will only give you the URL of the entire sheet. How do you get a very specific tab? So as I click through these tabs, check out the URL up here. The first one, which is the very first tab on the sheet that I created, is going to have a GID. equals zero. Now, if I click on 2024 sales, you'll see this GID is equal to some other number . It's 520783385. And if I click on the 2025 sales, you'll see that the GID up here is very different number 160316672. This GID is specific to the tab. So in order to share this sheet and a very specific tab. I need the full URL of the sheet plus a question mark plus GID equals and then the number of that specific tab. If I copy this URL, open a new tab and paste it. It will go to exactly that tab. However, if I'm trying to share a link to the tab from the Google Sheet itself, maybe I create a new Sheet and I call this Summary. And now I want to create a link here to a tab called 2025 sales. I can hit Command K on a Mac and I can search for 2025 sales and click right here. And there, I can create a link directly to the tab from the Google Sheet itself.
