So maybe you've edited your sheet a bit, but you don't want to just hit the back button or undo Command Z. You don't want to do that. You just wanna see what the past versions are up in the top, sort of row over, sort of on the right side around the share button. We'll see that there is a clock with a little arrow around it, and if we hover over it, it'll show us our last edit. Click that. And it'll bring us to version history , and we can see all the versions that we've edited. We can click this down arrow and see which ones there are, and we can also highlight the changes in the bottom right corner. You can see, you can also show unmodified rows and highlight those changes.

We can go all the way back to the original. Sheet how it looked. Okay. It had just a bit of data . Then we had a lot of data . Okay. This has wider rows, or sorry, columns, and then we've, okay, crushed it down a little bit. Added check boxes. We can see each of these. We can also name them. By the way, you can see that we can select all versions or named versions if you wanna be like, Hey, this one is where we added check boxes. And then at the very beginning you can say, start, start here. Those will be saved. And then when we select named versions, we see we have this start here and added check boxes. This named versions is pretty cool if you're doing something where you don't necessarily know.

Is this gonna work out? Do we wanna come back to this save point? Eventually, let's just name it, and then it's sort of saved in this extra section, not just all, all versions, and we have to search through it, and we have to figure it out by date and time, but rather we have a named version, sort of a saved state. This is really, really helpful, especially so you don't have to constantly be making backups. I know I do this myself as a, I'll be like, do I wanna come back to this? Okay. Make, just make a quick copy of this sheet and then keep working in this version. These named versions are sort of a much simpler way to do that instead of having all those files in my. Drive. Hopefully this was fun to see the version history of your spreadsheet .
