In this video, I'm going to share with you how to restrict edit access to a range . So we have a bunch of sheets and a bunch of editors, and there's one specific range that we do not want them to edit. For instance, this 2024 sales, we only want them to fill in the B column. If they change anything in A or C, our data is going to be a mess. So here's how to do that. Click on the arrow next to the name of the tab. Select protect sheet. Over here on the right, we can select range instead of sheet. And here we can actually select the range that we want to protect. So in order to protect everything but the B column, we need to protect the A column. Set that permission. We're going to say that nobody can edit it except myself. Done and then we're going to also protect the C column from anyone else but myself. And there we've protected everything except the B column, so somebody can come in here and edit the B column. If we do not want them to edit the name of the B column, the B1, we also have to add that as a permission. Click Done. And we have restricted edit access to this specific range .
