How to Publish Spreadsheet to Web
Learn how to publish your spreadsheet to the web, allowing you to share it via a link or embed it on a website without granting direct access to others.
In this video I'm going to show you how to publish a spreadsheet to the web. We have a spreadsheet , it is not shared with anyone, it is actually private to only me, but I don't want to click over here on the right top and click share and share it with any particular people. What I want to do is publish this to the web either for embedding or just sending a link to other people. I'm going to go up to the file menu up in the top left. I'm going to go to share and not share with others but actually publish to web. Click here to publish. And I can simply publish the entire document as a webpage. I can also publish it as a CSV, TSV, PDF, Excel document or ODS document. There are some other options I can do if I want to publish any particular sheets, not the entire document. And I can also restrict access here, just like sharing with others, you can restrict access. Also, if this document is going to be changed and edited fairly often, I may want to keep this checked where it says automatically republished when changes are made. If however, I want to publish this, make changes and only publish it when the changes are made, I'll uncheck this and so any changes I make, I have to come back in here and hit publish to the web again in order to update the published page. I'm going to click the green button publish , it'll ask me are you sure you want to publish this selection , click okay, and it'll give me this link. The key here is this link at the very end has pubhtml, and so I can go to this site and here is the published web, and here is the published sheet , completely available online for anyone with this link. I can also share to Gmail, Facebook, or Twitter directly from this modal.
