In this video, I'm going to show you how to embed a single tab in a website. As opposed to sharing , publishing to the web allows us to show the spreadsheet without giving edit access or view access or comment access without a link. Also, making sure that we're only embedding a single tab allows us to keep a spreadsheet with many tabs, maybe attendees, hosts, event requests, but only share one specific tab with the world. So I'm going to show you how to do that in this video. Once you're inside the Google Sheet you want to share . Click up in the File menu, Share, and we're going to Publish to Web. Here there's two options, Link and Embed. We're going to click on the Embed. Instead of the entire document, we're going to click here and only select the tab we want to publish. This is only one single tab. We're going to click Publish. Are you sure you want to publish this selection? Click OK. I have created a google site here. This can work on any site in which you can embed html. Over in the right, I'm going to click embed, and instead of by URL, I'm going to select embed code, and it says put your HTML code here. I'm going to paste the exact code that the Google sheet gave me. I'm going to hit next. This is what it looks like. We're going to insert it. And now we can publish to the web. Here is the spreadsheet embedded, but it is only one single tab. It is not the entire sheet. So nobody can see the other tabs that we have on our sheet and they can't edit or view this spreadsheet itself because we have not shared it with anyone else.
