class Utilities method .jsonStringify()
Utilities is the Apps Script service.
.jsonStringify() is the method name you will see after a dot in your code.
What it does
Why it's used
- Build JSON bodies for POST requests.
- Serialize row objects to send to a webhook.
Common errors
- Forgetting parentheses on jsonStringify. Write Utilities.jsonStringify(), not Utilities.jsonStringify or jsonStringify by itself.
- Skipping dots between chained calls. Each step needs a dot, like Utilities.jsonStringify().
- Adding spaces where they do not belong. Write Utilities.jsonStringify(), not Utilities .jsonStringify(), Utilities.jsonStringify (), or Utilities . jsonStringify().
- Wrong capitalization. Use Utilities and jsonStringify, not utilities or jsonstringify.
